I am quite a social person. I can interact with people quite comfortably and I have never had problems facing examiners in VIVAS and oral exams. I have no fear of public speaking either.
But when it comes to performing something or demonstrating anything, say in practicals or doing any little work, my hands start trembling. They are fine tremors and they appear more so when people are observing me while am doing something.
That gets me quite down in studies and other stuff. As a result I shy away, when it comes to learning something in my clinical examinations in med school, or doing any simple household chores. What do I do? This has affected my confidence level alot.
I don’t think I have any neurological problem as my balance equilibrium and reflexes are totally ok. DO help me out please !
oh i just read your thread.....i suffer from the same problem but the only difference is that my hands always whether i am nervous or not....yours is more to do with nervousness i suppose.
na never got it checked because i thought it was not a problem....but now it worries me that it could be symptom to some other problem...
as in your first post, you mentioned that your hands start trembling when people notice you and that makes you conscious of them (unconsciously though).....i guess when you come into such situation....relax yourself with long breathing and command your hands through brain that you are not going to tremble.......btw i am sure you can overcome it....there is a psychologist comes on tv who does reply through email...you can email him and ask for his assistance....his address is [email protected]
