Re: Anyone else on a gluten-free diet?

I've tried a gluten free diet and I adjusted well. You can get alot of gluten free in Asda. The only thing I found difficult was the roti as I didn't like the other types of atta you could use

Re: Anyone else on a gluten-free diet?

im having the same problem, i also miss having normal roti ....even the pasta is yuck...the bread isnt good for toasting. thanks i will have a look in asda.... i will have to ignore my taste senses and eat anything thats gluten-free.
so jeea do you have boiled rice on the side (instead of roti), how do you cope everyday?

Re: Anyone else on a gluten-free diet?

I tried having brown rice but I really didn't like it so I stick to 1 small normal roti for dinner and that's been fine for me. When I'm working I have gluten free crackers which are alright, but I've not tried the bread though. It just doesn't look that nice. I have to say I thought the pasta was nice, didn't mind it

Re: Anyone else on a gluten-free diet?

You don't have to eat brown rice...normal rice are gluten free too.

^ I couldn't find any so I thought I would go for brown rice and I didn't really like it much

Re: Anyone else on a gluten-free diet?

Hi I've been gluten free for almost 5 years. I also went vegan one year ago. So far I've adjusted really well to the lifestyle. You can't think of it as restriction. Because there are so many foods to replace wheat based foods. I buy gf bread called Udi's. I eat rice and corn based things. I like quinoa and rice noodles. But the main part of my diet is veggies, fruits and nuts. I live in California so we have numerous restaurants and shops that offer gf foods. We have Trader Joe's, a health food store that makes it easy to eat well.
