erm i just wanted to make sure about when you pray Shukrana Nafals (Naflas to thank Allah).
I’ve got quite a number to pray(i wanted to make sure how to pray them first),
but do u do dua(awal & aakhir darood sharif) after praying them? if u DO, do dua, do you for instance like this:
i’ve prayed X number of nafals for a reason > then do dua
i’ve prayed X number of nafals for ANOTHER DIFFERENT reason > do dua again
and so on…
(sorry, i did try to make it clear!:))
When doing the niyat(intention) do u say what the nafals are for in the niyat?
i know you not supposed to read extra nafals after Fajr & Asr, but are there other times when your not supposed to??
Is it true your other dua’s dont get accepted if you havent read the nafals you promised Allah you would, when your previous wish was fulfilled? (somebody please answer this question particularly - its very important to me!)
if u havnt offered nafals (you promised) because you forgot/didnt get time is the punishment severe?
can anyone answer these please - only if there are definatley sure about the answers, thank for your help & time!
Salat al-shukr is basically 2 rakat Nafl prayer due to gratefulness. it could be for anything and is performed as a normal Nafl prayer.
It may be best to do dua after each 2-rakat so as to glorify Allah and show gratitude as much as possible.
The niyat does not have to be verbally said, but the intention to thank Allah should be there, to validate it as salat al-shukr. The fact that you are praying Salat al-shukr anyway, must be due to your already-committed intention for something you wish to show gratitude for.
It is also disliked to pray any nafl prayers:
After Fajr time comes in, except the 2 rakats of the sunna of Fajr,
After praying the fard of Fajr,
After praying the fard of Asr,
After Maghrib time enters, until one has prayed the fard,
After the khutba has commenced for the Friday prayer (or effectively, if the khatib has risen on the minbar).
so, each and every individual dua is looked upon on a case-by-case basis
here, you’ll have to clarify what your actions were, whether:
you made the intention to offer Nafl prayer
or
you made an oath to offer Nafl prayer
eg;
intention: i may go out and intend to buy apples. I dont find any at the store so i come back home.
oath: i may go out and make an oath to buy apples. I dont find any at the store, so i will have to go to another store until i do find one.
so which was it that you made.. intention or oath?
