Hi everyone, I am planning to visit and re-explore the old Lahore (that includes the Havelis, masajid and other archaic archeological architecture starting from Dehli gate). I am tentatively planning to do this in Ramzan. I have an old catalog printed by the British explaining and detailing the famous sites in Lahore.
I plan to make a team of 2 or 3 members to visit the place. Those of you interested in photographing or visiting the archaeological sites in Lahore could contact me, we could plan something out. Rest assured these projects are very informative and full of fun.
The list includes
Wazir Mosque
Dehli Gate(pronounced as DILLI)
Tera Darwazay(thirteen entrances or gates)
Sunehri Masjid (golden mosque)
Ayyaz ka Mazar(Tomb of Ayyaz - the much famed counsel of Mehmood Ghaznavi)
Laal Haveli (aka Chandoo kee Haveli which Ranjeet Singh gifted to her lover)
KhushHaal Singh kee Haveli
Asif Jaa kee Haveli
Gurdwara Guru Grant
Dyaan Singh kee Haveli
Re: Anybody Interested in Exploring the Old Lahore
I will be getting back to my turf (i.e. Lahore ) on 16th August. Now I will be set to set off for the expedition by 20th August. But thats my schedule. We can borrow some flexibility in the plan. What are feasible dates for you ?
Re: Anybody Interested in Exploring the Old Lahore
I'll be in Lahore after Eid-ul-Fitr.. i.e. around 10th September. Tomorrow I'm going to a trip to Gilgit-Baltistan & Kaghan Valley, I was planning to come to Lahore while returning but a very close friend has kept his wedding ceremony on 29th July so I'll have to come back to Karachi.. After that I'll only be able to go to Lahore after Eid-ul-Fitr

Will you please please please take a million pictures and post them, I've always wanted to go to all the old places but I don't live in Pakistan so I've never really had the chance.

Lets set it up as a tentative plan then. But we need a photographer I have a DSLR camera but I want someone who has some experience and is not as novel as myself when it comes to DSLRs!
@waleed: yes thats ANDROON. @kays & Kiterunner: the idea is to get help from someone whoes an expert with a DSLR. But certainly pictures are a must
Re: Anybody Interested in Exploring the Old Lahore
Got my Canon 600 D today. Now I need a guy who knows well how to operate this nifty piece of art, and then we are all set. Thanks for showing interest and for PM-ing. Save the camera-operating tech savvy the team is now ready! xD
