counting calories!
I lost 15 lbs over the summer - a few summers ago. Just cut down on how much you eat. Its more of a mental addiction than a physical need, anyway.
first - cut out all the sugary stuff. ice cream, sodas, etc. you'll have a sugar withdrawal issue for a bit.
then move on to cutting down how much you eat in each meal, little by little, until you come down to half the original quantity. Full plate of chawal? Do 3/4. Then 1/2. Etc.
In about 2-3 months, you'll see a change.
Increase veggies, and salads - they're filling and they dont make you gain weight. So you feel like you had a really big meal.
Juices instead of sodas.
Salads for lunch.
Early early dinner - our desi habit of having dinner at 8 or 9 is not so good of a habit.
And increase the work out time. Even if its a simple speed walking exercise. At least one hour a day for that stuff.

Really. 15 lbs lost in about 2 months. Afterwards, I hated the taste of sugar. It was bitter. But then, my mom came back from Pakistan with loads of mithai. Yep. What sathyanaas!

I agree with that sugar one. After you stop eating and drinking sugary stuff you really don't like it. But in the beginning don't cut out your sugar all together. Still eat something sweet but very very little of it. Because if you cut your sugars out all together one day you might have harsh cravings and ruin your diet by eating tons of sugary foods. If I really feel like having cake or something I try to get the low carb stuff. Also drink lots of water. Sometimes instead of eating drink water. I bought the Pilates tape and with that came a book. It said you shouldn't go any five hours without eating, eat breakfast within one hour of waking up, and eat a small snack (apple, a peanut bread, etc) one hour before you go to sleep. I tried it and it helps a lot. So you eat breakfast, Lunch, snack, dinner and then before sleeping snack. It becomes a routine and your body gets used to it. Another helpful thing is to exercise right when you wake up before you even eat breakfast or anything else. Not only does this wake you up but it also gives you energy through out the day. Oh another one is when watching the types of foods you eat. Use olive oil and cut out all other oils. Olive oil is the best. I hope that helps. If I think of more I will let u know.
i’m losing weight..
and i dont feel too good about it.. (mental phobia thing) khair i narrowed it down to coke/pepsi type sodas.. that i was drinking..errrrrrr.. 5-6 days a week on average.. and regular weekly intake.. was about 4.2L
since i quitted soda.. (i dunno WHY! though), i have noticed my weight has came to go down (not good again).. soda was keeping my weight constant.. 164-165 pounds..
also, i noticed i am drinking LOTS of water.. LOTS .. like about 4L each day.. minimum that is..
i’m drinking water BEFORE and AFTER meals..
its taking all the body fat away .. ONLY good thing that i’m seeing are body cuts.. thats all..
if u ask me, i keep telling this, dont lose weight drastically.. maybe a pound or two EACH week is healthy :k:

that cuting down..sugar and carb...will help...
i dont drink pepsi..or any onther softdrinks..no icecreams..no sugar
but the problem is that i dont get time to exercise..
ihave lost 10 kg..but. i wana have frim body...

I hardly ever drink regular soda, maybe every other week, and half a glass at that. but when it comes to diet soda...choro, i drink it more than water

It wasn't a suggestion. I was thinking out loud.
Just a few tips. If you take any type of diet pills you will ruin your skin or your body. Let me just tell u a story. This girl I know took dietary pills and a year later she started getting hair on her face like men. It could have been a number of things that made her get hair like that. But I heard that pills are not a good way to go and plus they don't firm your body. If you stop eating you will gain more weight than you lost when you do start eating again. I went through all these girl diets. If you don't have time to workout what you can do is: take the stairs instead of the elevator, when you go to the grocery store park far away not really close to the door so you walk more, etc. There are so many little things you can do. One time I was watching a show and they showed tips as to how you can exercise in your office. But my advice is don't do anything that you will regret later on. Good luck. well u HAVE to physically doing workout to have that..stay away from drugs/pills.. those are big nonos..
what i use to do (a lil crazy) was this.. gas station two blocks away where i live has a convenience store.. i used to (sometimes) whine about body, fat, and all those things, and i realized, well i can go for run/sprint and my ‘booster’ was that i will go to that store in gas station, buy myself a ‘sports drink’ (high amounts of potassium salts) and then run back to my place..
worked out really well.. :k:
