We’ll be moving soon insha Allah to a smaller apartment compared to the one we are living right now so I am in need of some ideas on how to utilize the space efficiently. We hv sold almost all of our furniture as it won’t fit in the new place and now trying to find some smartfurniture.com
One idea I have is to buy a sectional instead of the whole couch set to utilize more space and I have also found a glass coffee table which has four bean bag kind of stools in case we have a party or some thing like that.
Furniture is the main part in the home which adds more beauty to the house. But if the room is not spacious, then it is better to maintain the less furniture which bets suits the wall finishing.
Alot of furniture these days has storage compartments right below them, I have seen sofa's with storage compartments , beds that have storage drawers below them.. you might wanna go for these kind of things so that you dont have to use your cupboard space for anything other then clothes.
Dont buy any racks , be it for the cupboards or the kitchen , they take too much space. Buy stackable utensils in the kitchen, smaller and taller bottles to store food and spices.
my friends cupboard door was so well utilized it shocked me ! I have a whole drawer at home dedicated to little things like scissors, stitching kit, makeup brushes, makeup, creams and lotions , shoe polishes etc .. but she made some hanging pockets kind of a thing and hung them on the inside of her cupboard door, each pocket labeled nicely and had enough space to store all the little things .. she put a little screw shelf as well to place perfumes and creams on it .. It looked neat!

you dont want sectional in a small living room. First, sectional does not give you many options to re-decorate your fursniture and you will be stuck with one setting. Second, sectionals are usually bulky looking and will make your room look even smaller.
I suggest buy a low height sofa and love seat combo.
