they see the markets trends, ups and downs in roi etcs. or loss risks,
what drives them to keep their money in, intrinsic motivation to keep the investment even in the case of foreseeable risks of losses in down prices stocks,

or extrinsic motivation, what if, the market will see an unexpected windfall profiteering on those stocks.

in short, what makes people stay put in seeing the performance incentive of investments in stocks.
