True! But then again D2’s fast paced gameplay doesn’t let you even consider the lack of story a drawback. Infact I only vaguely followed the storyline when I was playing. I was always hunting for the items. 
I have yet to try Baldur’s Gate series. I couldn’t develop an interest in NWN1,2 even though these get pretty good ratings. They weren’t my type I suppose.
Here I must mention another RPG on PS named “Alundra”. It has some of the most ridiculously hardest puzzles I’ve ever seen. I wonder if someone here has completed it.
