Any realtors here?

I didn't know where else to start this thread..

do we have any realtors on this forum? Or, does anyone here have any experience in renting their house?

Realtors normally don't get involved in renting properties, start with reading the laws regarding renting, try to rent to professionals, you can do a credit check always do move in report or you have no recourse in case of any damage. Also connect with handy man. Most important is to get insurance and insist your renter has insurance. You can also look at management companies to do it for you. Young children are very hard on homes, they can throw things down the toilet and flood the house.,

You'd want to get a very good lawyer and draft a good rental agreement. I have seen too many horror stories to ever rent out houses myself. I don't think that it is worth it.:)

are management properties good? I have been reading reviews online and they are all over the place with good and bad...

You can start off with one and than ease into doing it yourself. I have several rental properties and all the contracts are available online including check lists, application forms etc

Rent two properties in the UK and third in Gold Coast, Australia, which a holiday resort apartment, straightforward, all through letting agencies/estate agents.

absolutely - DO NOT LET IT YOURSELF, unless you are prepared to deal with the possible shitstorm coming your way!
