any really good dramas ???

any really good dramas ???

Halki si Khalish. Rehaii was also very good. Daam of course..some ppl liked numm (Fawad khan alone is not an incentive to watch this drama).

Wait a few months for the current dramas to end- then watch them in shot. I am tryin to entertain myself with magazines and book. There is so much on tv - but very little that is worthwhile.

Re: any really good dramas ???

Okay, I am guilty of watching Bunty I Love You. :sid:

I just started watching it a couple of days ago…and it’s an OTT filmy type drama…but filmy in a way that I find entertaining. It’s hard to explain, but there are two types of filmy. There’s the type where the director intends for the dialogues and events to sound “natural,” but they end up being a bit much…an example that comes to mind: Dil e Muztar, Humsafar, etc. Then there’s the type of filmi where you can tell that the director intends the characters to be exaggerated and over-the-top cuz it adds to the drama/humor…examples such as Nanhi, Aun Zara, Bunty etc.

Butler… He’s not even a main character, but his expressions and delivery are excellent. It reminds me of Hector Elizondo, who is sometimes seen playing a butler, or concierge, etc in the movies. The Bunty butler’s wry smile, and the amused look in his eyes, and the calm demeanor…reminds me of Hector Elizondo.

Daania…Saba Qamar has been praised soooooooooopo many times for her beauty in this drama and she is frequently seen looking/posing in the mirror…that I have wondered if she wrote the script herself or is best buds with director or struck a deal with him. It’s understandable that her painful experiences have made her tougher, feistier, bolder…but there is an element of narcissism to her. I find it a bit strange that she feel in “lowe” with Bunty so fast…at a oiint where she knew little about him.

Bunty’s Babli…Can’t remember her name? Mahwish…maybe? If so, yikes. Don’t like the name as I haven’t had the best experience with girls named Mahwish…neither has Bunty, I guess. She seethes in jealousy over his association with Daania as though she’s madly in love with him, yet surprisingly chucks the gold/diamond ring he gives her out the window…and that too…in front of him…and after he had reassured her if his loyalty and love. What a weird, weird, weird girl. Why get jealous if you’re gonna reject him so coldly in the end. Meh…what can you expect from a Mahwish? I’m hoping we see no more of her.

As Eastern said above, it explores a a relationship theme considered taboo in our culture, so I’m curious to see how it will be dealt with. It’s light and airy…good for time-pass so far.
