Any One here , Who was/is Radio Presenter ?

This Morning when I was coming to work , I was listning one Desi Radio Station , that recalled my Memories , I thought I should share with GS friends too and May be some one have this type of Exp.

So How is/was the taste?.

My first job was in Radio in Miran Shah North Wazirastan Agency (One of Seven Agencies Known as FATA(Federally Administered Trible Areas))

Although I was in Technical Side ,But some time I was also participating In Programing activities.

That was very good/amusing Experience , But due to Wazirastan Operation and all that , I came to quit from that job.

I remember in 2007 when our all Radio staff ran away from Miran shah due to War , after some days I was directed by the authorities to resume My charges , I had no choice and the step was also not risky but good and challenging too, I had no Programing staff , and one of our collegue was injured due to Misseil splintels , I started Myself (That was not big Mechinary , the broadcasting was for 36 kilometers surroundings) made some announcements and broadcasted some prerecorded programs.

Later on when the staff arrived , I was equally contributing with them , and we were free from any restrictions and were broadcasting only Entertainment Programs.

The main source of Entertainment and Information is/was Radio and our Radio broadcasting was in the Local Dialect of Pushto(Wazirastani Pushto).

Our Three Hours Morning and Three Hours Evening Programs had a very good contribution in making Public Openion regarding Education , social well fare etc.
We had no advertisement on our channel as it was funded by Govt directly.
We had very huge number of Listners , which was obvious from the snail mail/Letters we were receiving Every day and Our Phone was continuesly ringing.

How is/was your station and Experience ?

So no Radio Presenter Here ????

Re: Any One here , Who was/is Radio Presenter ?

I was an RJ/ DJ for a few years in islamabad ... Worked for one of the FM stations ... it was a brilliant experience , something I miss till date .. It changed my way of talking, enhanced my communications kills and improved my vocabulary + pronunciation ... though after years of non practice , I am back to square one now ! specially with pronunciation ... but I am trying very hard to keep up with urdu vocab and pronunciation as much as possible ...

All in all its a winner experience to have ...

CB,

Nice to know this,

So I am right if some time I am missing My Radio Experience Taste.
