Yes..This is going to be my motto for this worldcup. I wouldnot mind if Kenya wins the worldcup( I can see Ehsan’s smiling face) but Australia should not. I am tired of seeing them win everything. It is not fun anymore. It may be a wishful thinking considering the batting lineup that they have these days. But they do have some weakness in bowling and I hope other team can exploit it. I hope final match is on big turning dust bowl wicket and AUS is pitted against India/Pak/SL. On side not I dont want even SL to win with Chucket in their team. But I will take them over Aussies.

I second that. I want to see a new world cup winner. If SA or NZ (which never won it) would be awesome. Eng don't stand a chance, thank goodness. Otherwise WI will be a good contender. Sub-continent teams are always in the race, so that would be a good thing for them.
Whoever wins the world cup, win it with hard fought contests, not like the lousy finals of 99 and 03. Some drama till the end will make this WC a mouth watering event. Which otherwise be an ugly tournament to watch on TV. :p Stadium suck in carribean.
As much as I would like someone other than Aus to win, I just can't undermine the quality of cricket the Aussies display. They play one of the most positive brand of cricket.
Right now the most hated team for me is South Africa due to their baby-crying captain and bunch of racists in the batting line-up. I am also beginning to hate Johnty Rhodes. Mickey Arthur is a dickhead too. Just don't like them.
I would never want India to win simply because they don't know how to play ODI cricket.

^ Well, if Pak wins the WC , Indian newspapers will quickly relegate the World Cup to the back pages and downplay all related news. There will be a total decline of "feel-good-factor" in India....depression will be rampant, people will become nihilistic, suicide rates will increase, shrinks will make a killing...you get the point.
See, to me Australia should be the winner. They are heads and shoulders over other teams. If any other team wins the World Cup, it would only be due to luck and the alignment of planets. This is not like Soccer World Cup...where you can back half a dozen teams to realistically win the world cup.

Of course Pakistan is my number one favorite team naturally. I have a very strong feeling that Australia has the weeknesses in bowling which other teams can exploit. Altho their batting is top notch but over the years consistency of the old guard (barring Ponting and Hussey) has reduced. On top of that Andrew Symonds might not be fit enough to play. So any team in top 6 can beat any other team.
I dont think India or SL has it in them to win it. They are just not well equipped to defend a total on WI pitches. Same is the case with SL. I also dont wanna see Saffies win so I will be rooting for West Indies after Pakistan.
