Just wanted see if there are any lawyers or lawyers to be in this post–since most of the desis go for medical school–
I am in law school and will be graduating soon…would be nice to chat with others as well.

Which school are you at Farah? I'm not a complete law student but do study law as part of our courses. I've always been atrracted to the field. What area will you be getting into after graduation?

I think there are a couple of lawyers/students on GS...
I've taken a couple of corporate law courses and am considering a Juris Doctor degree starting next fall (2007).

I guess law school and field of law is not really popular among us desis--they all go for med school or engineers--

I have taken a few related courses, on the philosophy side, and really enjoyed jurisprudence. If everything goes according to plan, I would like to go for a J.D. after my Masters.
Why don't you tell us a bit about law school for those of us who are considering it? What is the method of teaching, what is course content like, what are typical "assignments"? What are the typical courses and when do you get to "specialize"? Etc. Thanks.

Aye, I too am thinking of law school after I get my MA. My only concern is if a GB qualified barrister could practice in Canada without retaining as they too are a commonwealth nation with similar laws.
