Any ladies usingMy fitness pal?

I joined my fitness pal just over a week ago to loose a few lbs i would like to loose about 20 ish lbs. i am not overweight but my bmi used to be less and it has crept up an i think i would like to nip it in the bud and take control now.
I have never before done any sort of calorie counting until now, and oh my is it hard to do and make choices that are healthy and stay within your goal.

I work out most days, i am currently on week 3 of ripped in 30, i also do a hiit workout along side for about 10 minutes.

When eating packaged things it is easy to track the calories but home made things are such a faf, I don’t have the time nor patience really to weigh each thing and do it that way but I look for the nearest option on the database and also keep my portions small.
I must be doing something right because I did loose 3 lbs past week so i am motivated to keep going.

I thought it would be a good idea to share our progress/shortfalls for help and tips from one another. Also if we have any healthy snack or meal ideas we can share here.

So who’s iin?

I did use it a few weeks back for a few days. However, I've started to eat bad again and thus have stopped using the app . I very much like it! A friend uses it every day and it's so inspiring to see her healthy food diary. I may start being active again pretty soon.

Re: Any ladies usingMy fitness pal?

I have been using Myfitnesspal for a good 3 years or so now.. Love it!

Re: Any ladies usingMy fitness pal?

Right now I am using it to keep track of nutrition during pregnancy. I eat vegetarian most of the time, and getting enough protein does take some planning.
I used it for some pre-pregnancy weight loss as well and it was a huge help then too.

I don't obsess over the exact numbers as such, but love it for the awareness it generates. It has pushed me into putting nutrition ahead of calories.

Hi I use it too and find it helpful. I dont obsess over it however when making desi food i enter ingredients individually. Having a food scale really helps too.
