Any info on adoption

Salam guppies,

A Pakistani couple wants to adopt a child in USA. Do you all know of such agency that provides services and has desi / muslim kids for adoption in USA?
Currently, they are thinking about going through their local DHS & adopt any child currently in foster care who is free for adoption.

Any information would help.

Are they trying to adopt a child that is already in the USA or one from abroad?

Depends on alot of factors, I knew a couple who were thinking of adopting in the states... but there was some issues with their religious beliefs because Islam does not allow for Adoptiona nd theyhad said that they were practising Muslims...but Im not sure if they were trying to adopt within the US or from abroad...

what?? Why don't they look around in their own country - its full of orphans - adopt a pakistani-born kid and give it a chance for a good future!

that’s just bull - in fact, Islam encourages the practice of adoption… Zayd bin Harith was adopted by Prophet Muhammad until his real parents were found. The Islamic term for what is commonly called adoption is kafala.

PC: there no one in Pakistan who could help with this issue. They want to adopt from here.
