Any hadith that supports mutilation of the enemy?

So called “Mujahideen Shura Council” released a video showing mutilation of American soldiers in Iraq. It is titled “In Memory of the Sunnah of Our Ancestors in Mutilating the Infidels”

Is there any such hadith to corroborate this claim or are they following some other religion?

Re: Any hadith that supports mutilation of the enemy?

According to our Prophet (s.w)'s sunnah and fatwas of all great Muftis of Jama AlAzhar and our great ledaers Qazi Hussain Ahmad, and Maulana Modudi:

"It is haram to kill an unarmed enemy (who is not an enemy soldier)"

Re: Any hadith that supports mutilation of the enemy?

Orders issued by Hazrath Ali to his officers and soldiers before a battle. As these orders give a clear indication of the principles and methods laid down by Hazrath Ali as to how Jehad (Holy War) should be carried on…

  1. Never begin a war yourself, God does not like bloodshed, fight only in defence.

  2. Never be first to attack your enemy, repulse his attacks, but do it boldly, bravely and courageously.

  3. While declaring yourself and your deeds (Rajuz, a custom amongst hand to hand combatants) never waste your time. And instead of speaking about yourself speak about God and the Holy prophet (A.S.).

  4. Never follow and kill those who run away from the battle or an encounter, life is dear to them, let them live as long as death permits them to live.

  5. Never kill wounded persons who cannot defend themselves.

  6. Never strip naked or a dead man for his coat of arms or dress.
    **

  7. Never cut nose or ears of dead men to humiliate them.**

  8. Never take to loot and arson.

  9. Never molest or outrage the modesty of a woman.

  10. Never hurt a woman even if she swears at you or hurts you.

  11. Never hurt a child.

  12. Never hurt an old or an enfeebled person.

No Wonder they never or seldom lost battles or wars, and had Allah's help in unsurmountable odds against them.

Re: Any hadith that supports mutilation of the enemy?

to the best of my knowledge it is not at all allowed to cut off the body parts of anyone, except cutting hands for a thief....
cutting off nose, ears etc is strictly prohibited, even in a battlefield....

Re: Any hadith that supports mutilation of the enemy?

These people who kill non-combatants are probably American agents doing it to defame Muslims and Islam.

Pigs will do anything to justify stealing our oil and enslaving our lands, swines.

Re: Any hadith that supports mutilation of the enemy?

Smurf, that is unlikely. In this recent video, dead bodies of American soldiers are dragged behind a truck, beheaded and put on fire.

There are extremist salafi mullahs who endorse these actions. We need no help from anyone else to defame ourselves. Our actions speak for themselves.

I would like to know the opinions from sunni and salafi scholars on this,

Re: Any hadith that supports mutilation of the enemy?

abay hosh main aa...tumharay iraqi bhai hain jo yeh sab ker rahay hain...there is so much hatred in these people....they torture and kill innocent civilians including indian/pakistani pilgrims...they admit to all this but yeah go ahead and blame everything on americans

Re: Any hadith that supports mutilation of the enemy?

the first two I believe apply only to fighting other muslims....offensive wars against nonmuslims are legitimate
these orders were issued before Jamal?...correct me if i am wrong

Re: Any hadith that supports mutilation of the enemy?

I agree.

To the best of my knowledge, mutilating a dead body is not permissible.
