clearly our obviouses don't agree. mills and boon was the height of popularity at one time too. as was Austen. it's called pop culture.

you are still missing my point. i'm not talking about the fantasy in terms of vampires etc. the characters, their interactions etc are not aimed at adults who have lived and experienced. it's idealism and purism for children who have not yet experienced those emotions or relationships.
