im due at the end of dec but i feel so tired ,cant keep my eyes open for more than 2 hrs n wat not:( …any thoughts on castor oil?
n yes i know that the baby is gonna come when its ready but still i want suggestions

Walk... I went for a walk uphill and within 24 hours I was in labor at 39 weeks, 2 days..try eating pineapple but I read that you have to eat about 7 of them for it to be effective!
Castor oil.. Docs advise against this..it gives you diarrhea and makes you miserable..you really don't need that!

Sex doesn't always help induce labor.
I tried Ginger tea , it worked after the third cup
It's basically ginger boiled in water let it stew for a bit, it doesn't taste too bad jus like ginger biscuits,
I drank it luke warm had about 3 cups not one after another, my waters broke about 24 hrs later n I didn't have the usual labour pains no one thought I was in labour not even triology nurse :p

honestly, labour will start when its time. Its hard but try and relax and enjoy this time before the craziness of baby.

if ur water doesnt break then how will u know that labour has started?i'm not even feeling braxton hicks nowadays....

i tried everything...mopping the floor (desi style), walking, RRL tea, ate dates, ate pineapple etc... but nothing worked...not even pitocin :) when they started to induce me. My baby had his umbilical cord all around him and in knots. So it was a GREAT thing none of above worked. You only have few more days, just wait for the baby to come on his/her own.

dont take castor oil. It's not recommended and can cause horrible diarrhea.
I think a long walk, or mopping the floor might help.

if you can have orgasm it could help with inducing. so sex, period.

i ate lots and lots of pineapple and walked like there was no end! i had been dilated 2 weeks before my due date, but my water didn't break until midnight of my due date :)

I walked several kilometers a day, ate pineapple, did the deed... squatted... But still had to get induced. But no harm in trying all that, anyways :) It did give me several nights of Braxton Hicks :)

thx everybody ......believe it or not my doc recommended mineral oil......n it worked wonders ,will post my birth story soon.......baby is crying so gotta go....thx again
