Well my statement was just in jiffy.That was the extreme solution i suggested.There can be certain solutions those can be implemented to reform the police services to certain level.
1.Increasing their payscale.
2.easing the duty hours.
3.Freeing police from political influence.
4.Making law and order as the state subject as in india.so the lower ranks remain posted in their own state/province(this solution can be avoided for higher ranking IPS officers).
4.bringing in police action under the purview of courts thereby restricting the abuse of powers granted to them by constitution/govt.
There are some nice articles and books written by first female IPS officer Kiran bedi on improving the police force in india.But i think govt is not interested in implementing those reforms.Politicians want police to act as thier militia on society.and 80% of todays police force is being used in VIP security.
And about Kiran bedi.u get such a sincere officer once in a while.she even impounded indira gandhi’s car as delhi traffic police head as it was parked in wrong area.
