Asalam Alaykum,

Hi, i m a regular reader on this forum, and i m getting married in december INSHALLAH. I was hoping to get a translation of an ayat or a hadith (regarding wedding )printed on my wedding invitation card.

So please help me out…I will really appreciate it…

An-nikah min sunnati fa-man raghaba an sunnati fa-laisa minni [Marriage is my sunnah and whosoever turns away from my sunnah is not of me]

for my brother's wedding card i had the following verse printed on it:
Quran 30:21
ومن اياته ان خلق لكم من انفسكم ازواجا لتسكنوا اليها وجعل بينكم مودة ورحمة

Congratulation for ur upcoming marriage..

But please do not print the Qurani Ayaats on Wedding card, these ayaats are not there for decorating purposes, wedding cards will be thrown in garbage once the day has passed. Please have some respect for quran ( the word of Allah Al- Mighty)...

As for the card, I'd follow hanibal's advice and suggest you also do the same.

i was thinking about tht too... i know cards do end up in the garbage after the occasion...hmmmm...something to think abt :)...
