I read this forum alot but I dont post much. Im a pakistani girl marrying my white fiance in October. We grew up together, but never thought I would end up marrying out of my race. He is a decent guy, never really saw him with girlfriends, matter in fact all my desi guy friends had more girlfriends than anyone one I knew grewin gup. He loves the desi culture, he got interested in the way of life. Last year, He accepted Islam. this year he asked me to marry him, I thought he was joking.
He met my parents, asked my dad in person, and he read the shahada infront of my dad again to make my dad comfortable. My mom cried when he asked my parenst for my hand in marriage. She dove right in and started planning my shaadi. We will do the mehendi, shaadi, valima and then a small american reception for his family (non-denominational). I have known him a long time so I am practically marrying my best friend regardless of his skintone, and his language.
