i have tooo many ants in my room. it was ok before, i didn’t mind having them around. but now they are beginning to attack my food. which is why i don’t like them around anymore.
any ideas as to how i can get rid of them.

Ants are scared of chalk, so if they were outside you draw a line all along the corners and such and they won't cross it.

Dewana tera, I got an idea for you dude! Cover them with chocolate and eat 'em...chocolate-covered ants are a delicacy, believe it or not, plus it'll solve all your ant problems!

Ants are scared of lemon juice, as well as boiling water containing a couple of teaspoons of dish washing liquid.
Ms belle, if I were to be an ant, what would you use to scare me off with? Juice or the liquid?

Well, depends on the cost, while the soap costs $2.50+ the lemons are 10 cents per, and since I know neither would work, why waste my money. I would rather just use plain cold water, or my shoe to squash the living daylight out of you.
Ms belle, can I request you to use steamy hot water instead? Or the toe, instead of shoe?

dewana tira, what kind of ants are these (black, bronw? carpenter? termites? tiny ones or larger) each one has a specific type of bait which is commercially avialable. Its quite effective and most importantly ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY also. I am not really sure how it works exactly but it requires the worker ants to carry the bait back to their queen in the colony who feeds on it and stops laying eggs and dies.
Please try and keep away from pesticides!

Nip the evil in the bud... just find the hole in your room where all these ants are entering from. Buy some cement caulk and cover the damn hole. You will save o the energy bill too.
On a second thought, get this problem fixed soon because you never know where those ants visit while you are sleeping in the same room. I don't like moving things around me while I am sleeping. If you get the drift...
