Re: Anti-Pakistani
I don’t intend to be rude, Op, so please don’t take it that way. But u knew fully well that this guy was a no-go because he did not meet your criteria. Had he said that he loves Pakistanis, you’d still never have accepted him as he doesn’t have a stable career. You must have known that most folks won’t accept an anti-Pakistani rishta and on top of this off- putting stance of his, you went on to reveal how he’s lacking in other ways (education/career). You haven’t mentioned names so it’s anonymous unless he were to somehow recognize himself from the details mentioned. I don’t know how wrong or right it is to hold an anonymous exhibition of what one deems as the “losers” from Allah’s servants as far as rishtay go…but I wonder/fear if doing this often enough might risk inviting Allah’s displeasure as opposed to His mercy/help in finding a suitable partner. Again I don’t intend to be rude, but it’s something to think about cuz we are even advised to avoid openly criticizing the food that comes our way…and these are people.

Re: Anti-Pakistani
I’m from Pakistan (sindhi), I absolutely hate anything to do with pakistan, still love my sindhi culture as it has absolutely nothing to do with pakistani culture, I grew up most of my life in Ireland, I supported the Irish cricket team these past three world cups etc, I’m never going back to pakistan unless Sindh gains independence or pakistanis sort their political sh*t out. Also, Pakistanis are the most racist people in the world, when you’re outside pakistan you’re a pakistani, when you’re in pakistan, you’re either a punjabi, a pathan, a baloch, or sindhi, wtf is this? I find myself identifying more and more with bengali culture, or gujarati culture etc a punjabi wouldn’t know a good fish if they were slapped in the face with one, us Sindhis and Bengalis love Hilsa (pallo)
Re: Anti-Pakistani
^There’s another thread in this section you should probably check out ![]()
I’m part Bengali but never tried that fish.. just heard of it.. (Am not on about the Bangladeshi thread btw.. the “other” one)
Re: Anti-Pakistani
Your post is as hilarious as your dreams of a independent Sindhu Desh. You are either confused as heck or a troll.
You claim to hate everything about Pakistan and Pakistanis yet you decided to become a member of a somewhat Pakistani forum. I would suggest you join an anti-Pakistan forum, they will welcome you with open arms. ![]()
Re: Anti-Pakistani
Yeah i didn’t get his post. Serious contradictions. Can’t make everyone happy though.
Ask not what your country has done for you. Ask what you did for your country. In this case it is Ireland not Pakistan, or Sindh for that matter. So not sure why you’re so upset.
Re: Anti-Pakistani
The irony of this post is too damn high. ![]()
Re: Anti-Pakistani
you are bengali and never had ilish maach? that is a first. ![]()
Re: Anti-Pakistani
Why did u say this?
Re: Anti-Pakistani
I pretty much dislike Pakistani culture to, but I do feel the country is improving, that being said, despite it so, I will at the end of the day be a Pakistan, not a British, but then ago I’ll never fully be a Pakistani either as I have never been or lived in Pakistan for longer then 6 months.
If only I was in charge of Pakistan, there is too much violence and hate in the country.
Re: Anti-Pakistani
Dragon90, you are confused between Pakistani culture and community culture. The culture as a whole is freakin beautiful, colorful clothes, vibrant weddings, delicious meals, and hospitality. There are many communities settled within Pakistan that have customs of their own which are quite horrible like forced marriages to cousins, or keeping their daughters uneducated etc. Although they are as much part of Pakistan as anyone else, doesn’t mean they represent the whole nation. And as far as the violence goes, it is not part of Pakistani culture just recent jahaliyat that sprang out of nowhere and consumed the whole nation.
Re: Anti-Pakistani
Thanks for defining it up for me, you’re right it’s probably community culture and customs, the forced marriages etc, I dont hate the culture, but I dislike some communities.
Re: Anti-Pakistani
You’re effectively boycotting Sindh but why? Sindh can benefit from your tourism euros or $ if you spend your money eating out, buying locally produced handicrafts/textiles for gifts etc. on a visit to Sindh. As a Sindhi, even if you prefer Sindh to secede from Pakistan, Sindhis don’t need approval of Pakistani patriots to visit Sindh. The latter need Sindh; the former don’t need Pakistan as such. ![]()
Lahori fried fish is a popular dish in Pak. It’s rehu fish, not hilsa/pallu but since tastes are subjective, who decides which fish, if any, is better? Sindh and Bangladesh do have a wider variety of seafood though.
Re: Anti-Pakistani
No i wouldn’t! I might would have to move to diff country after marriage but it would still be of great importance to me what my husband feels about my birth country which is home to me. So he could be not wanting to live here, but still should have respect for this place.
Re: Anti-Pakistani
I have never ever lived in Pakistan..but used to visit there quiet often. But it’s been a while since i haven’t been back home. With that said, anyone no matter where they from marrying into Pakistani culture…must and should respect our values. Seemingly, if anyone from Pakistan marrying into other culture.
But of course, no one tolerates anti-Pak sentiments..it’s torture!..
