Perhaps the comparison is overblown, but certainly the production of this kind of material and for that matter it's popularity is a condemnation of the Indian public as well the Government.....
Feroz Khan is such an idiot. Although, Janbaaz and Qurbaani (both starring FK) both were pretty good movies with fantastic songs! In fact, the majority of movies produced by FK are so sexual (more so than the norm for Bollywood films). Anyway, regardless, the songs from films he produces tend to be quite good.
As for anti-Islam/anti-Pakistan sentiments in Bollywood films … as someone mentioned earlier … 1. such movies have been coming out for the past 5 years; and 2. not all Bollywood films are like this. As far as I know, 90% of Bollywood films deal with romance and love. The only ones who repeatedly keep making anti-Pakistan/anti-Islam films is Sunny Deol. Who wants to watch any of his films anyway? :yukh:
That reminds me... yesterday I went to see a Hindi movie (KHNH) at the nearby theater (I am in Umreeka). At the beginning they showed a trailer of a Pakistani movie. I have never seen a Paki movie - not even a glimpse of it till this thing showed up on the screen....it was some revelation.. I will tell you. For a moment I thought it this was some home made camcorder movie. Anywayz, I have developed a new found respect for Bollywood movies since. I did not know it was possible to produce worse movies than what Bollywood churns out. So thank you Pollywood/Lollywood/Karachiwood(whatever?) for making me a proud Indian.

Exactly! Feroze can be an idiot at times and 90% of Bollywood is clean. How many anti-Pak movies has Sunny made? 3? On the whole we’ve got 12 anti-Pak movies and 120000 normal ones. Which proves that anti-Pak movies can only make so much money…which proves the majority of Indians are not interested in Sunny’s idiotic movies.
Why shouldn’t they make anti-Islam, anti-Pakistan movies? They are our enemies, what else do you expect from them?

Irem: Stop watching crappy movies. Most of these movies go to the trash can after a week or so. Us Indians are more into mush etc. :p
P.S: Bombay the movie wasn't a propoganda against muslims or Pakistan. It was a really touching movie. The only effect it could have on the people was of not committing the stupid mistakes like in the past( riots etc). It caused fights.. now there are some really stupid people out there who have to pick on silliest of things rather than trying to grasp the moral behind the story.

There is a censor board but it is more for monitoring obscenity. I know you're hurt that such anti-Pak sentiments can be allowed, but it's a free country. Chandbeti is right, both sides indulge in Indo/Pak bashing but thankfully they're in a minority. As both countries move towards normal relationships these movies will stop.

You are just bang on with this. The part about Indian Discussion Boards especially rings true. I would be the last person to ever encourage hatred, but if anybody ever goes to an Indian Discussion Board it would be a real eye opener for them. By no means do I think all Indians feel this way, but most of those boards are nothing but anti-muslim/Pakistani hate boards where bigots rant freely about how much they hate islam and "suhllays". In fact I don't even look at that stuff anymore, it gets disturbing after a while.
You look at the contrast with Gupshup where Pakistanis gush over brotherhood and how much they love Indian Movies. I think it is time we all re-evaluated our priorities.

well its about time that we stop watching indian movies I know it is hard but I seriously have stopped watching, I mean may be once in a while but man people are crazy over indian actors and actresses in Pakistan and that got to stop, and I know a lot of you might not agree with what I m about to say but I think we should start watching Pakistani movies because how will they ever get better if none of us watches them, I know I have, gotta watch something, at least its better than janasheen or the hero
