In Afghanistan Elections thread you had a few lectures about American society and how we are the most base and hated people.
Do you think that public opinion of Muslims in the Netherlands and elsewhere will justifiably suffer because of the attitude that says it is OK to kill someone because you disagree with what they say-and the proud sanction of such (not even tacit as is the case so often) many educated Muslims living in the West like yourself?
You are a walking, breathing "root cause" for the War on Terror mein Freund.
Pity it took 911 for you to realize there even was a War.
Now you try to pin its reasons on supposedly more heroic and ethical causes like freedom of speech .
"You are a walking, breathing "root cause" for the War on Terror mein Freund."
amen brother.
You would think that a religion with 1.3 billion people could stand a dissenter or two. If you have faith in your religion, an insult or two should not make a huge difference.

You're and idiot.
Basically if people don't think like you then they should go to hell. What type of thinking is that?
This is just sad. As much as I hate it when people make films to hurt somebody else's religious beliefs, it does not mean to take law into your hand. As a Muslim if you live in Holland you need to abide by the laws of Holland. If you don't like them then leave Holland or work to have those laws changed.
If you don't like the movie than say so to the media; protest it and boycott it by not buying it. Do everything you can but within the confines of the law. All this does is give more material to the western media who already portray Islam as a violent and in-tolerable religion. Tell me, what good does this do to the Muslims as a whole...
in my view that director was a jackass, bu it did not mean that some vigilante had to take what he considered "justice" into his own hands and go kill this person.
would I miss this director, no, do i think the way he met his end was justified, no.

Thanks for the compliments. In above post where did I say that if someone doesn’t agree with me he can go to hell? Yes if someone disrespect my religion they can gladly GO TO HELL.

Yeah I agree a heart attack would have been more suitable here.
But pulling the neck chain needs a human hand as well.
it was not just "a little dissent". he put verses of quran on naked bodies of whores, and called it art. well it could be accepted by secular christians or even muslims, but there IS restriction of speech in some matters and this is definately one of them.

Not in HOLLAND! Get it.
Look, I can't stand pretentious artists who do things just to shock. But you have to tolerate it.

I'm not failure with this guys art nor have ever heard of 'Theo' Van Gogh until now. But whether his art is acceptable or not to Muslims does not give them the right to take his life away, no matter how big an asshole he might be.

In your opinion. Oh hell, just kill 'em if you don't agree. May I do the same? If I disagree, may I shoot a Muslim on the street? Fair is fair! The thing is, that many Muslims are the beneficiaies of the protections of a free society. Learn tolerance, we have.

actually americans are doing just that, but on a grander scale. thousands of muslims have been killed because they disagreed with americans..oh heck, even many more were killed just because they were in the vicinity of those who disagreed, so what more can you do.
and secondly islam is right and its rulings are more biased towards muslims, so one cant kill muslim with out incurring allah's wrath on one's self.

No problem, let me find my Crusade robes, and put in a call to Mr Ashcroft. Fair is fair...

What exactly do you mean by this OG. Did that murderer get permission from all 1.3 billion? or even a few? Why do all of us have to be dragged into the crime committed by one individual? Maybe the next time a christian identity moron drags a black man behind his truk, I can blame all y'all.
Yes Islam can withstand many dissenters. Our prophet withstood much more than dissent with patience and kindness.
