My problem is not with the “she shouldn’t have married him” but with the “she deserved it” bit… I’m prolly in the same boat as you when it comes to disapproving such a union - but regardless, to say “she deserved the humiliation” is what’s wrong in my mind. Again, to throw back your question - say despite your disapproval if khuda na khwasta someone from your family was in such a situation, would you say the same thing?
