Is it possible to boost the signals of wireless nic cards by attaching some sort of antenna or omni directional old sattelite dishes? I want see atleast 5-6 +dbi boost in the signal! So where can i buy one?

Is there a rating for wireless nic's? rating for like antenna power etc... I want to buy a good wireless nic which can provide good strenght of signal :) any suggestion?

just one suggestion, get a Orinoco or Prism card .... they are compatible with Linux as well (in case you wanna use 'em on linux)
