agreed…it all depends on what the “dressing gown” is…my night time dress is pj pants & a tshirt, short sleeve in summer, long sleeve in winter..so yes, I would answer the door in that…would i answer the door in a thin night gown..umm..of course not! when it gets super hot in the summer and my MIL is not staying with us, yes, i wear a Cami & PJ pants around the house, but I would NEVER answer the door like that, lol..that’s when I grab a robe…my ammi who is no longer alive (allah unko jannat naseeb karray) would have KILLED me if I ever went to the door dressed in night clothes…lol! She would get sooo upset when i would drop her off at her work in pj’s, even if i wasn’t planning on getting out of the car..she’d always say “aghar tumhara accident hojaata ya police tumhain speeding ke liye rohkday, to phir kya ye haal chaal sahi hoga…besharam”…aahhh..what i wouldn’t give to hear those lectures again
