I agree with the post above.
I can understand it being a matter of sensitivity, but throwing people in jail and using such harsh punishments is also not acceptable. Maybe a warning, and then incorporate this rule into your law, and inform everyone about it - that's fair. Just punishing people for a first time offense when you don't have a specific law about it - then its in your Islamic nature to forgive, forget and institute something so it doesnt happen again.
I don't think giving a teddy bear the name Muhammed is a big deal. I can understand the fear that it would be then given to other objects.
So, just make a law about it and move on.
The way these leaders handle things is VERY disappointing. Their work in Darfur against their own muslims is absolutely retarded. I don't expect any better from these animals.
