Although, Iran has been on good terms with Pakistan that doesn’t mean its in our interest. Power corrosion is never good for any country. Iran wants to dominate the ME and project its power beyond its borders rather then use it for defensive reasons. Besides I think on the whole a Shi’ite Iran having weapons will put Sunni countries on edge. (Not that I care of differing religious beliefs).
KSA would probably allow Israel to use its territory to bomb Iran. Again a religious issue. When anything gets religious then anything can happen.
Besides I can’t understand why Iran would want/need to bomb.
