So ladies and gentlemen, how much of this is a personal responsibility and how much of this is moral character? Should one sell their body to make sure they and their families can eat food?

We should not hate prostitutes.
1-They don't do that for fun of it.
2-Men they get to sleep with are hideous(that's why they have to pay)
3-Prostitutes are just short sighted girls.
4-Ordeal they go through is just unbelievable.

Prostitutes... Of course. Hate 'em, disgrace 'em... perfectly understandable.
But then, who are the architects of modern prostitution industry who contour such filth, not only on a practical level but also utilizing web so its right where we are, in our homes, in the vicinity of our comfort... so as to think that there's just no escape. Where ever your gaze settles, its right infront of your nose. I guess we should go after those rich suited and lavishly settled people. Then prostitution would not be just to earn to get fed or to get your family fed, it would be termed as psychopathic, or criminal or whatever. Now it doesn't seems like that...
