Dutch legalise gay marriage
The Dutch Parliament has approved a bill giving gay marriages the same legal status as heterosexual marriages.
Gay married couples now have complete parity of rights.
Another bill passed at the same time gives them wider rights to adopt Dutch children.
Until now a gay couple had only been able to register their partnership, although one church in the country has recognised gay marriages since 1986.
The bill was passed by a large majority and its supporters say it gives gays better rights than anywhere else in Europe.
Scores of people packed into the public gallery to witness the vote, which was taken by a roll-call at the insistence of a small Christian party which opposes the measure.

When the last vote was cast lawmakers thumped their desks and spectators applauded and embraced.

The final margin was 107-33 votes.
A member of the Democrats 66 party, Boris Dittrich, a supporter of the bill, spoke during what he described as “the most moving debate” of his career.

during hazrat luts (as) time their was only gay men presently their is gay women. We are therefore living in the worst era ever. Holding on to religion is like holding onto fire as the prophet said.

another sign of qiyamat is that children have no respect for their parents and kids as young as 8 commit fornication. Its happening in the big satan america & europe.
Do not put guess work into Islam. Qiyamat will come when it comes. Yes, the signs of qiyamat were outlined by Prophet SAW, but that doesnt mean we should be on the lookout for that time and start righting ourselves only when that time is upon us. Rather, keeping ourselves on the right path is a lifelong responsibility.
Gay relationships are nothing new in this world. Remember the nation of Hazrat Lot AS? That was thousands of years ago. We cannot insert our guesses and try and match Prophet SAWs sayings and warnings with what we have now. Because of people incorporating their guesses into Islam, there have been about a hundred comings of Imam Mehdi as, and just as many of Hazrat Isa AS.
Where was Mehdi at the time of Prophet Lot when his nation was plunjed into the abyse of homosexuality??
And as regards to female depending on female, In a secular society, it is absolutely fair to provide similar rights to both sexes. Now dont raise your eyebrows, I do not subscribe to any of the gay/lesbian relationship, and I personaly find such practices very abhorent. But in all fairness, if a man is allowed to engage in sexual relationship with another man, why a woman should be bared??
Perhaps you are not aware that such practices have been recognised long before in all scandanavian countires. Yet Mehdi did not appear!!!
The kind of post I am reading now a days, used to appear fifty years ago in remote parts of Pakistan. Sometimes, I have read similar stuff on papers used to wrape digestive powder by a choran faroush. I am sure next it will be that "the door of repentence is about to close, therefore, write this and this fifty times and mail to fifty people......"

I remember when u first started posting on Gupshup....and from what i remember, your very first post was about creating civility amongst the members of Gupshup, regardless of what you are encountered with. And now this, alongwith a few other unfortunately personalized offending posts by you. Baykhatr talked about a generality of life, equality of sexes, where if one thing is allowed for males, it should be allowed for females as well. And if one thing is forbidden for males, it should be equally forbidden for females. Thats the way of Islam, from what I remember. Their domestic responsibilities differ, and their physical characteristics differ, but the ama'al required of each are the same. Please do not make it a personal issue between you and someone else. You dont appreciate it, and noone else does either.

Sufimaster, I didnt miss any point. I just tried to give it a broader perspective, which still maintains it as a totally wrong practice. However, my main intent was to avoid personal attacks.
I agree with Akif. And moreover, everyone's entitled to their own views, and u should be able to respect that. I'm not asking you to respect what they believe in, thats up to you, i am asking you to respect their right, their freedom to think/believe whatever it is they wish to.
