**Pakistan vs South Africa: Shahid Afridi breaks record of most ducks for a Pakistani player
**
Johannesburg: After crossing the triple century of sixes during the tour of South Africa, Pakistan’s star all-rounder Shahid Afridi has once again broken a record but this time it was most ducks (0) for a Pakistani batsmen Afridi has now 29 ducks in his record, crossing Wasim Akram, who had a record of 28 ducks in his career. The star all-rounder is just five ducks behind Sri Lanka’s Sanath Jayasuria, who has 34 ducks in his 445 matches
The star all-rounder got out to a bouncer of Ryan McLaren with just one over remaining for the power play. He played three balls for his duck. Expectations were high from Afridi, after he played a blistering innings of 88 runs in the third one day International against the Proteas.
Former Pakistani cricketers criticised Afridi for his irresponsible shot at a time when Pakistani team needed him badly. Pakistan was defeated by six wickets after hosts chased a low target of 206 runs with almost six overs remaining in the match.
Responding to Afridi’s performance in the match, former bowling star Waqar Younus said, “He got out two balls before the power play was to start. He knew there was a fielder in the deep and he knew (Ryan) McLaren would bowl a short one, and with 15 overs remaining he still played the shot and got out. I just dont understand this and dont know what to say
Star wicket-keeper Moin Khan said that Afridi apparently has some fitness issues, which is badly affecting his bowling form.
