Re: Another Quest on Visa Applications
The application is considered on the info provided.
The rules are that you must both be over 21 when you apply, so I would guess that it would be rejected. Applications have been rejected on lesser points.

Re: Another Quest on Visa Applications
hmmm don't know much about it, as far as I know BOTH parties should be over 21 AT the time of wedding. It doesn't matter what age he will be when applying, what matters is how old he and YOU were at the time of ur wedding. That's my understanding, I can be wrong.
Re: Another Quest on Visa Applications
^you can be under 21 to be married but can't apply for this visa until both are over 21 years of age.
there is a section of the form where you have to declare that you were not forced into the marriage. that's a separate issue.
My understanding is we can submit the case as they take some weeks to process 7weeks according to their website - so if we submit he will be 21 by the time we get a response
oh I stand corrected then. :k:
My understanding is we can submit the case as they take some weeks to process 7weeks according to their website - so if we submit he will be 21 by the time we get a response
sigh
yes it can take that long.
but the point is that he will not be 21 when you submit, so the person who first looks over those forms will not think 'oh this person will be 21 soon, let's wait til then'. i doubt it will even get to the entry clearance office for consideration of all the other info and will be rejected before then.
my hubby applied for his visa in Feb and it was granted 2 days later; it took them a week to notify him. long process times are only if there is a lot of information they they need to check up to make sure it's legit.
i don't understand what the point of asking the question is, if you think you already know the answer.
^thanks for you help but there no need for that attitude.
Anyway the supporting documents that i send from here how long before they expire? Anyone?

Could someone please interpret i just want to make sure sorry if i sound stupid
In cases where the applicant is within a couple of months of his or her twenty first birthday, and the other party is 21 or over, you have discretion to issue entry clearance but it can only be valid from when the person under 21 has reached his/her twenty first birthday.

Re: Another Quest on Visa Applications
13.21 - Age requirements for spouses and civil partners** (Rules Paragraph 277)
The Immigration Rules do not allow any person to be granted an entry clearance as the spouse or civil partner of another if the applicant will be aged under 21 on the date of arrival in the United Kingdom. Any entry clearance application from a spouse/civil partner (i.e. a married person or a person in a civil partnership who would be under the age of 21 years when entering the UK) should, therefore, be refused. An applicant who is over the age of 21 but married to/in a civil partnership with a person who is under 21 should likewise be refused entry clearance.**
In cases where the applicant is within a couple of months of his or her twenty first birthday, and the other party is 21 or over, you have discretion to issue entry clearance but it can only be valid from when the person under 21 has reached his/her twenty first birthday.

uhhh, someone who knows the rules very well is giving you advice and you still are adamant of 'your understanding of it'. i'd expect the attitude.
Re: Another Quest on Visa Applications
Your bank statements and pay slips will need to be up to date. Other supporting documents certainly shouldn't be any older than six months.
