Algeria Passenger Plane Crash: Live Updates

110 passengers , Algerian plane has gone missing.. They fear its crashed in the Sahara but not sure so far.

Go help us all. Flying industry is seeing some bad times :frowning:

It had been confirmed to crash near Mali.

Being muslims we are always ready for death but these recent incidents has started a fear of flying in me :(, where is the flu powder

it could be another case of rebels shooting down a passenger plane. i travel a lot and the trend is sending shivers down my spine. rebels are getting more sophisticated now and it's worrisome. :(

110 passengers + 6 crew members...it's an McDonnell Douglas MD-80 plane which is an stretched version of McDonnell Douglas DC-9. it's a very old plane.

a tip:

for nervous travelers, try to book a seat on a newer brand of planes like Airbus Industries A-319, 320, 321 or CRJ-700 Canada Regional Jet etc.

flying has always been considered the safest mode of transportation. i wonder how safe it is now. i fly so much, usually at least 2 times a year. this is really scary.
