GEORGIA OR GHORJISTAN
Many may not know this but when you go into the part of Moldovia that lays to the east of river Dniestra, Transniestria, used to be called BessArabia until WW1, there is a regular border crossing as if going into another country. They want to keep their cyrillic alphabet. They want to be with Russia.
Security in Chisinau is tight. All foreigners can expect a visit to the police station to be questioned if they know Russian.
Same situation exists in Georgia, where there are pro Russia break away regions, such as Abkhazia and Ossetia. Russia has been pressuring its old republics into joining Russian Federation. Georgia has a US military base. Georgia has been used to mount Chechnian insurgency in order to deprive Russia of its Caspian Sea energy resources.
Uzbekistan has kicked the US out. Kyrgzistan has raised the rent on its US military base so much so that it now accounts for half of that countrys national budget. Tajikistan is the other country that hosts a US military base in central Asia.
It seems that Iran, Russia, China and the US may have reached a secret deal. There will NOT be an Iran war after all. US cannot afford one and Iran cannot afford to keep the insurgency going. At the end, it all boils down to simple economics. US dollar has fallen 36 percent since 2002. US federal debt is now 9.113 trillion dollars, rising at a rate of 1.49 billion dollars a day.
The question then becomes who is fueling the Afghan insurgency. It must be Russia and China.
