A man opens a second-hand furniture store in Nairobi, having immigrated from India. He registered the name as “Lord Bishan Singh” and displayed a prominent sign. The reporters of newspapers, out of curiosity repaired at his shop and wanted to know whether his ancesters served the Brish Government and endowed the title of “Lord” or something. The owner replied that it was nothing of that kind. “I was Landlord” in India" and he added: “I sold the land and retained the title of Lord.”
