Indian attack is not as bad as many people think it is, Irfan is going through a lean patch but in a short career he has proved to be a match winner. Once his confidence and form is back he will be a very handy cricketer for India for many years.
Zaheer Khan, Munaf Patel, VRV Singh, Sreesanth are all pretty decent bowlers and then we have Ashish Nehra and Balaji (whatever happened to those two) They are all good bowlers, in Habhajan they have a good offie and ofcourse Kumble is a world class leggie. So India has plenty of resources in bowling these days. In South Africa so far atleast in tests their downfall has not been their bowling but their batting hasnt clicked.
Overall I think Indian bowling future isnt nearly as bleak as many people think, they have a variety of fast bowler. Nehra, Zaheer and Pathan are south paws, the others right handers. So they do provide variety.

He’s 6’4 and touches 130 kph. If his accuracy is any good, he seems like a good prospect :k:

I saw a bit more of his bowling yesterday and I have to say, he does not have much variety in his arsenal. He has a fairly good yorker but not much else.
Also, the commentators were mentioning that his action was sure to cause him back and other fitness problems in future given his skeletlal frame and lanky height.
Plus, his fielding left a lot to be desired.
All in all, I am not tremendously impressed.

Irfan Pathan is finished. I haven't seen Ishant Sharma, but no harm in trying out youngsters against Bangladesh.
