I am stunned on this incident. This is such a big security breach. That it can get PIA banned from all over the world.

That Heart attack incident of another Passenger saved this Pilot. Else he would have been arrested for Human Trafficking case. And PIA would have been penalized for couple of thousands of Pounds/Dollars.

One high official of PIA who happens to be the captain of the 777 flight to UK, took another high official of PIA along for a "joy ride".
This is pathetic and the hight of unprofessionalism. Both should be fired for violating international laws and Pakistani laws of immigration and international travel.
Before 9/11 this was no problem. However things have changed and PIA pilots should be careful in "obliging" their colleagues with such joy rides.
BTW the only problem here is that immigration counter in Karachi was bypassed by the PIA official.
In post 9/11 world, this would result in PIA getting slapped with a fine in the tune of $10,000 or more (for carrying a non-photographed, non-stamped passenger).
Other than than, airline staff can always fly free. They just have to travel on a "jump seat" if there is no regular seat available.

well, we do entrust our lives hundreds at a time to pilots. but even with all the checks you routinely find news of pilots reporting to duty inebriated in the US too.

If wrong happens around the world doesn't mean we should adjust our norms to accomodate such wrongs.

^^ Specially in times, when the world is going through serious problem of terrorism. Also he was not traveling from Lahore to Islamabad or Karachi, he was going abroad.
Wow! Heard in news that this guy (pilot) also holds some important role at CAA? He gets paid lakhs of rupees by the government for a role he is never in the country to perform duties of because he lives abroad for 22 days a month?
Has he been sacked by the government or not yet? What are the proceedings of this case?
Law makers need have him sacked for his corruption (Holding two jobs at a time when he is never on duty for one of the jobs he is getting paid for by the government). This is no joke. Let him drive a rickshaw for a living for a change to make him realise how those rickshaw drivers & their families survive in few thousand rupees while he steals their tax money to get paid lakhs of rupees by the government for the duties he never performs.
Pakistani public must demand the legal courts to deal with this case as strictly as possible!!!
