So I’m trying to find a perfect match for my skin but I can’t figure out my undertone. I was watching pixiwoo who said if u have red/pink undertone you are warm and if you are yellow you are cool ive also tried checking my veins and I don’t know what colour they are lol
Anyway I went to the MAC counter twice and first time I got matched with a NW 25 for the mineralize satin finish which i bought and second time NC35 for studio fix which I got a sample for
I also went to the bobbi brown counter and was matched 4.5
So now I don’t know what shade is the correct one
Ps I used to have oily skin, still oily but not so much and I don’t like the matte finish, can you also recommend foundations too. Thanks x
Ps2 every foundation I have tried changes colour like an hour after?
Try getting samples in bottles of different products and use them for a week---see how to foundation sets into your skin and see how it looks indoors/outdoors, day/night. Each salesperson has their individual way of matching.
Foundation with a sheer/dewy finish works well on all types of skins. Personally, Im a fan of the Chanel foundations--because they arent too yellow or too pinkish like the MAC ones. Heard great things about Touch d'Eclat YSL foundation because they've got a wide range of colors.
so u tried mac and BB… which one suits best on your skin??
the best way to find perfect shade is to apply 2-3shades on your cheek/side of you face ( see pic)
and see by yourself which suits u best..always check in natural light go outside and check in a small mirror.
you must choose one that exactly matcheds your skin color.
foundation is not to change the color of your skin…it is designed to give us a smooth finish.it should be blend to your skin, making the makeup appear completely natural the whole point is to wear foundation that is quite seamless
it is important that type of your foundation you pick is the one that’s good for your skin and meets your needs .There are different formulas for different skin types.
cream to powder: good for normal- oily skin tone
liquid: for all skin type however if you’r oily look for oil-free liquids.
mousse: for oily skin
cream; for dry skin
choosing a right foundation shade is not difficult it’s just time consuming
Well Mac is fine for Non celebrities :P any ways are you sure you are applying foundation with right technique ?
and before foundation put some primer on your face this will help u to apply foundation perfectly !
Yep, I've used a sponge, a brush and my fingers! It looks fine at first but then I look dark after an hour or so.
I always wear moisturiser before I apply foundation too.
I liked the BB one but one side of my face looked flaky
Mac was ok too, but I’m trying to find the right shade which is hard
I only like to wear liquid foundations.

and 2nd if you have very oily skin , note down very Oily skin then use milk of magnesia (cremafin)
laxative get little into your palm directly apply to ur skin then leave it for 15 minute then wash it with warm water Voila you will rock , no oily skin no bad shine on skin and all day matte look trust me No harm full and great result
by the way share your skin photo we will suggest you which shade suits you ?
Primer then concealer then foundation then lose powder to look more blend and matte then shiner ! you will rock
I've tried BB, mac, MUFE and even those which aren't sold in regular stores like RCMA and graftobian.
I love BB's stick foundation but they matched me too dark. I'm a MAC NC20 and the BB one was just way too dark. I've used MAC since I was 18 .. love it .. but it oxidizes and you turn grey within a couple of hours in the sun ... but it's great for indoor events.
Don't like MUFE since it doesn't cover that well.
RCMA and graftobian are both amazing! Pro MUA's use them for photoshoots and film ... they look great on camera.
^ If you give the Pore Minimizer a try, make sure you take tiny amounts and apply a very thin layer. Too much of that product will give you dry/cakey look.
