So mums off to Pakistan and will be stopping in Karachi-Baldia Town (S.I.T.E area). It’s not really known for it’s famous darzi’s etc as it’s more industrial than anything else and although I know of a few that have really neat stitching etc (in 24 bizarre) it must be a simple shalwar kameez-nothing too funky shunky. The darzis charge between R160-330.
I’d like to get an anarkali suit done, and possibly a few long style dresses that could be worn to formal events and possibly a few sari blouses.
Can anyone recommend any darzis/home tailors in the Baldia Town area (we’ll be happy to travel 30 minutes outside the area).
I’m hoping I can find someone who isn’t too shocking on prices-some of the prices I’ve read in other threads for other areas of Pakistan almost gave me a blinking heart attack.
