I took out a packet of chicken from the freezer last night so it could defrost overnight , I was planning to make chicken korma today ..
Anyways, so I fried the onions , mixed them in yoghurt, did the usual korma prep , took the meat out of the fridge to wash it and guess what ! I realized its chicken keema not chicken pieces
but since I had done half the prep of korma process and defrosted the meat, i have now become dheeet and am making keema korma
I wonder how it will taste though ! Dreading it ! Told husband its a new dish I am trying .. so now he is very much looking forward to keema korma
Queen, I promise I will be doing your recipe after I recover from delivery In shaa Allah .. I want to do it the proper way .. abi wala to shortcut laga ri hoo
I had a bit of a fail last night. My food is okay tasting if it’s just my family. An uncle came in unexpectedly.. he said “have you just started cooking recently?”
I made quorma masala like I usualy do ( blending browned onions, tomato paste, spices in yogurt and cooking until oil separates) and added qeema to it, bhoon-ed for a while, added 1/4th cup water and let it cook until done.
Actually some of my best recipes have been concoctions I have to create Bc I did not have one or more ingredients. Necessity is the MOTHER OF all inventions .
I came across a recipe for a qorma which was popularly known as ‘Mahru’s chicken’ because of the gupann Mahru who once posted it here, years ago.It requires the meat be marinated with spices and yogurt etc and then cooked.
I used to like the recipe and once tried to make qeema like that.I blindly followed the recipe as it was and just replaced meat with qeema (now who has ever marinated qeema…!!!)..ANyway that was one yummy alloo qeema I made and I have often made it that way after that…
Qeema is a very basic ‘essential’ dish at our household and I have actually ran out of ways how to make it…you know zarroorat ijaad ki maa hoti hai…so yeah I made qeema qorma/qorma keema too…
