Another case of alleged blasphemy

Ahmadi place of worship set ablaze in Jhelum, riots erupt after blasphemy allegations - Pakistan - DAWN.COM

After factory, mob torches Ahmadi place of worship in Jhelum over blasphemy allegations - The Express Tribune

In Jhelum, a chipboard factory owned by an Ahmadi and an Ahmadi mosque was burned on alleged blasphemy of burning pages from holy Quran. Army needed to be called to quell the mob. Is this over-inflated religious sensitivity, bigotry or plain and simple wickedness? Almost all the previous such incidents were misconstrued and mostly intentional for settling personal scores, getting wordly benefit from hurting rivals, getting hold of the property etc. What do you think should be done to stop such incidents to happen in the future?

Re: Another case of alleged blasphemy

Makes me laugh seeing all these people getting riled up over supposed (and always false) blasphemy claims because they're great Muslims apparently and have to stand up for Islam.

They have no problem murdering, raping and stealing (and supporting/turning a blind eye to all these acts) in their everyday lives. Aren't these acts against the very core of Islam? So why are they supporting politicians and the police indulging in these acts?

Sadly these people only great Muslims when it comes to persecuting helpless and weaker minorities (this is against Islam too).

Sad sad state of affairs.

Re: Another case of alleged blasphemy

Gov of Punjab has been publicizing its policy that loud speakers in a mosque cannot be used to spew hatred. I want to see how will they respond in this case.

Re: Another case of alleged blasphemy

Things are getting better now. The Qadri guy who murdered Salman taseer over the blasphemy issue is behind the bars now.
