Govt officials have marked that he was not the actual victim of the attack. It was some “High Profile” actually. They have also given somehow details of the suisicide bomber. He was a guy with fair complexion and 15-18 of age. This is i guess the third of the blast in a row in Rawalpindi alone. Death toll reached 8 as confirmed by the Govt. Officials.

“The bomber was apparently on foot and as the car stopped on the main mall road, he hit it,” senior city government officer, Irfan Ellahi, told Reuters news agency.

It seems like the terrorists are looking for soft targets or targets of opportunity.

Also, this is the second attack on the Army Medical Corps. The previous attack was on a bus carrying attendees of the Armed Forces Postgraduate Medical Institute. Here is one of the victims from this attack:
