People calm down. Whether Osama was behind Sep 11, it shouldn't matter. Though I personally believe he was, or at least people connected to him were behind Sep 11 and this can be proven from the tape of hijacker shown on Al-Jazeera.
But, like I said it doesn't matter because America did not show the evidence before going after Osama.
But one thing that we already know about Osama from his own words is this.
-In various fatwas, interviews, videos he has stated that he wants Muslims to kill kafir American civilians and military in their homes. Killing innocent people is clearly against Islam. Strike one against Osama.
-In an interview and video he admitted to being behind the Africa embassy bombings. This killed many innocent people, most of them African Muslims. This did not help any Jihad cause that I know of, but made things worse for Muslims. Strike two against Osama.
-In the recent Al-Jazeera video he praised and supported the 19 hijackers of 9/11. No true Muslim would do such a thing because the 19 hijackers killed many innocent civilians including Muslims. This clearly is against the very basics of Islam. Strike three against Osama.
With three Strikes against him, it is fair to say that Osama is indeed a terrorist, because hae has failed to follow the very basic Islamic teachings that even a 7-yr old Muslim child would know: Do not kill innocent people.
Now before some people say that the tapes are all fake, well let me tell you that they aren't as far as I can tell. Why would Al-Jazeera broadcast fake tapes? And what of the interviews Osama did? Are they also fake? Or the fatwas he releases to Arab newspapers? Fake as well? Is Osama himself a fake then?
And I know people will say that America is so bad and it has killed so many Muslims. I will have to agree with you, but they has nothing to do with the discussion or Osama. America can be as bad as it wants to be. But that does not give any Muslims hte right to be just as bad as America. Period.
in no video did he claim responsibility about the attacks. The credibility of US and their statement comes from the fact that they kept saying they have solid proof against OBL's involvement, which they didnt. It wasnt until so much later that they got their "first" proof from some video from which the sound cannot be deciphered clearly. Its strange that the running alqaeda would make a video of a social meeting of OBL and others in which they will congratulate themselves on "their success" of wtc bombing and then leave it right there for others to find out. I'd like to know if the video has been made available for internationle labs for testing. Alqaeda which according to CIA is based in more than 54 countries with its core being largely egyptian doesnt need OBL to let em know what to do how. WTC bombings were once planned b4 and there was no OBL at that time. Those "sleepercells" in US have been stationed long b4 OBL publicly started adapted anti US rhetoric. He was one of the folks CIA had maintained close contacts until 1992. and it wasnt until 96' that his rhetoric against US primarily because of US troops in KSA and antipalestinian voilence did he heat up his rhetoric. He is a terrorist, that is his own admitting and a nemesis to any country's govt he would get involved with because of his persoanl charisma and influence. He would always praise all such terroist acts it doesnt necessarily mean that he is the one who carried them out. He will even condone and praise the palestinain terrorists, which doesnt imply that he is the one behind em.

The Prophet (PBUH) did not intend for Muslims to excuse the guilt of other Muslims just because they are Muslims. If a Muslim killed your brother, wouldn't you want him punished? The Koran commands it. So don't go questioning my loyalty, bhai. I've seen the videotape, I've heard the words in Arabic come out of OBL's mouth. Muslim leaders like Musharraf and even the leaders of Iran are satisfied by their silence. Why are not you?
