Go to HR. Don’t engage her but report her to HR and tell them how her bullying affects your work and productivity.

The problem with this is our office is TINY. We have total 25 people in the office (just 2 rooms) and HR is externally sourced. So HR isn’t even here to see/do anything, and doesn’t know anyone very well either. The other option would be to talk to my manager (who is her number one supporter because all she sees if the good side/sucking up) or my other manager (who isn’t her number one support, but also only sees the good/isn’t the type to appreciate office drama). Also, I have only been here a couple of months so that adds to the awkwardness of the situation.
Oh wow, I’m sorry you had to go through that! I don’t think she would go that far, but I am very afraid she will try her best to outshine me or take away any possible big responsibilities from me. I feel like she doesn’t know if she wants to befriend me, or hate me most of the time. She is so odd. And I recently spoke to another girl, who is also Pakistani (the problem girl is also Pakistani), who also went through the same thing with her. So I don’t know if it is just a weird girl-on-girl-Pakistani-to-Pakistani-jealously thing. Do you know what I mean?
Hey - a few people asked me for an update and I did quit. Started my PhD and got a new job too…so I am much happier now. Thank you to everyone who encouraged me to just go for it!
