for our first, we told my parents over the phone since they lived in the middle east at the time. we took the inlaws out for dinner and told them in person, and did the same for my brother and his wife but at a separate dinner. the rest of the family was told by my parents, i suppose, because they all found out eventually haha. i was 8 weeks when i told immediately family and best friends. later on, once the first trimi was done, i think i posted about it on facebook too.
this time around, we just told everyone in person as we saw them, if it came up. no big announcement was made to friends or family, and actually most people found out when they saw my belly. i’m sure once we announce the birth on facebook - probably with photos for the extended family - is when a ton more people will come to know.

after my ultrasound at 6 weeks, we told our parents and siblings. my husbands parents were super excited and told pretty much ALL their uncles, aunts, cousins. I would have liked them to wait for atleast first trimester. I told some of my close friends at about 8-9 weeks. by now, (15th week), i have told almost all my friends that I talk to. We didn’t make an official big announcement, we just told people as we met them

We never announce. People ask when they see the belly and I say “yes, I am expecting” and we go from there.

I told my parents and in laws after my 1st scan which was around 11-12 weeks I think. Then the rest of the family found out from them! Lol. MIL kept telling me to hide the news though saying I’ll get nazaar.

well we were on ttc n my mum knew n she used to ask me every month because I was medication, we took home test it was positive huby got so excited he informed my mum n mil I kept saying wait let us first confirm from doc but he was so sure, rest my mum n mil told everyone. no one asked me to hide it neither I believe in this , we should just keep giving sadqa n leave rest to ALLAH, though my jethani n deverani both hide from me, their bump was visible n still nhi nhi n when baby was born then oh nazar na lag jai

so far we only told his parents/siblings and mine. we put a “big sister” shirt on my daughter and had her go up to them :). we haven’t really told anyone else yet (besides my boss due to my line of work), but i think people suspect it since a few have said “ohhh isn’t your little girl growing up so quickly? when are you having another one?” or “are you ready for another one?”
the oddest comment i got was from my younger unmarried SIL. she asked us if it was planned :.
