Yes well, it's pretty inexcusable innit. Why if we don't remeber all these interfaith days and have banners for them what will become of GS! We'll be lablled as some anti-any-religion-but-Islam website!

Well you see Xtreme I didn't know about raakhi until our esteemed admin gave us some insight, interfaith holy days are alas not my strong point but I am endeavoring to find out more and to try and be more inclusive wrt to getting attention to such rituals on GS.
I think some sort of banner rotation and guest speakers from different faith communities on GS would be a start, as we speak I am working on getting a Wiccan and maybe a druid (don't hold your breath on the druid though he's recoveroing from a minor nasal passage operation) to post some insights and pictures if possible.
Let's all do our part, maybe you could volunteer for the john the baptist illumination?

Xtreme as a moderator I think it would show real leadership and intergration for you scout around and try to set an example on this one and enlighten us a little.
I think I've done my job of raising the inital awarness, but I'm hungry for more now and alas don't want to taint the pot so let's have a minority faith member step in and have a go if you're not up to it either?
