In the WSJ they show p to e based on last 12 months to be 21. And on next 12 months estimated earnings to be 17. Why such a huge difference?

only 4 points difference! its not such a huge blow to current earnings of 21!

In terms of pct it is not 4 pts. But 4/21×100 or 4/17×100.

That’s huge.

Also why is that "huge blow to current earnings " relevant?

in terms of the whole number you are using that is 21, 4 is kinda small!

I respectfully disagree, chapter 2.

4 out of 21 is close to 20 pct.

4 out of 17 close to 24 pct.

Surely these r high percentages.
