mule of Prophet (SAW), named "Duldul" is very famous. This was the mule on which Hazrat Ali (RA) fought the battle of Marwaan, if I remember correctly.

yes I kinda remember hearing 'Duldul' in Nohas and used to thought what it is. My guess was its the other name of Zul-Jinah.

How can we forget the cow of Bani Israel on whose name 'Surah Baqra' is so named. It was a cow with specific characteristics which were enquired by Bani Isreal from Hazrat Musa (AS) just to avoid scarifying a cow. The cows meat was then touched with a body of a dead man (killed by someone) and touching the cow's meat made the man alive and he told who murdered him.

Buraq was a white animal in the size between a mule and donkey. The popular depiction of the Buraq with two wings and human face is not in accordance with the authentic Ahadees. They are taken from Persian folklore.
Quran does talk about Mairaj (Prophet’s journey to from Makkah to Jerusalem and then to heavens), but it does not talk about Burraq.

In Hinduism, one of the most prominent is Garud, an eagle, carrier of Bhagwan Vishnu:). GarudPuran explains about punishment that would be meted out in hell:(. The Indonesian airlines is called Garuda Airlines and special force of IAF is called Garud Commando Force:k:
